Week 10

Good Evening FLRSD Community,

November already! It is a short month but it is action packed.

Please be sure to check out our District calendar and our school newsletters for a host of events. As a reminder, there is no school on Wednesday, November 11th as we observe Veteran’s Day. There is also a half day on November 25th, followed by no school on November 26 and 27, as we celebrate Thanksgiving.

FES’s Art Classes were the Spotlight Presentation at this week’s FLRSC Meeting. Grade 2 and 3 students, under the tutelage of Mrs. Bridget Walters, shared their beautiful final products. Each student spoke about the specific artistic convention employed during their design and creative process. They highlighted specifics from the elementary level art curriculum and made sure to note their learning. Thank you to Principal Ward and Mrs. Walters for orchestrating our FES spotlight. Thank you to Liam Brogan, Angela Costa, Tessa Larkin, Ellie Maclane, Jackson Proulx, and Jacob Ventura for giving wonderful presentations.

Also stepping out in the public this week were ARHS’s Kaitlyn Abreau and Kyalimba Kilomo. Both Kaitlyn and Kyalimba had taken part in MA Secretary of Education Stephen Zrike’s visit to ARHS. They shared their experiences as members of two different focus groups. Kaitlyn highlighted her internship as an Innovation Career Pathway student, while Kyalimba spoke about the pending updates to graduation requirements. They were articulate and poised representatives of their peers. For additional details about Zrike’s visit, click here. The next FLRSC Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

Best wishes to our Lady Laker Field Hockey team! Coach Cuthbertson and our Lady Lakers will be playing at Foxborough on Sunday at 10:30.

Have a wonderful weekend.
