FLRSD Strategic Planning Team (SPT) cordially
invites students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members to complete
the
26-27 FLRSD Strategic Planning Survey. Your responses will assist SPT members in designing the District's strategic plan. Your responses will shape the future of our District. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes and will remain open until October 7, 2026.
Thank you to our parents/guardians and community members who attended last night’s SPT Focus Group Listening Session at FES. Thank you, as well, to our ARHS students who provided child care. If you were not able to attend one of the Focus Group Listening Sessions, please complete the survey above.
There was an FLRSC Meeting this past Wednesday. Members heard presentations about the Opening Days of School from a number of students. Each highlighted the significant role that school staff and friends played into their re-entry to school. Each also highlighted a "Challenge Champion” who helped them at the start of this new year. Members also heard a wonderful presentation from our GRAIS students about Nature’s Classroom. This annual trip was a tremendous learning opportunity for all who attended. Local Once Upon a Generation facilitators, Karen Chace and Andrea Lovett, were recognized for their receipt of a citation from Massachusetts State Senate and the Massachusetts House of Representative, as well as for their achievement of the Angela Lloyd Sunbrella Award from the National Storytelling Network. School Status updates were provided by our Principals. School Improvement Plan Beginning of Year information, shared with Members, is posted on our site under Popular Links/Public Presentations.
As a reminder, school cancellation or delay information will be shared with families, staff, and students via ParentSquare and it will be posted on our site. In addition, such information will be provided to the following news stations: WBZ News, WCVB CH 5, and WHDH CH 7 & 56. The decision to cancel or delay school involves a number of factors and often necessitates the input of several local resources such as our Police Departments and Departments of Public Works. Please be assured that every attempt will be made to safely keep school open for our students and that decisions will be made in as timely a manner as possible.
