Week 2

Good Evening FLRSD Community,

What a great second week!

Our Strategic Planning Team (SPT) kicked off its initiative by hosting Focus Group Listening Sessions for Intermediate, Middle, and High School students. We are grateful for the detailed information our student participants provided. The SPT also hosted its first of two Parent & Community Focus Group Listening Sessions. There were participants from both towns representing citizens who do and do not have students in our schools. We thank those in attendance for sharing their perspectives. The information provided at these sessions will be used as qualitative data when planning. Please be sure to join us for the next Parent & Community Focus Group Listening Session on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Today was a day of reflection and remembrance across FLRSD. We took pause at 8:46 AM to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 by holding a Moment of Silence. Our collective acknowledgement honored all who were impacted. In classrooms, in particular at ARHS, students engaged in learning activities specifically to mark the occasion.

As a reminder, our updated site has a link to our new Community Tab. Accessing this tab will connect you to our two towns and to our Community Bulletin Board where you will find local events. Should you have a local event to advertise, please follow these ADA Compliance instructions and submit your flyer for review. If you are a community organization and you are seeking use of our facilities, please complete our new Digital FLRSD Building Use Request Form.

Have a wonderful weekend.

In Partnership with Teri Fleming, John Higgins, and Kelly Steele,
