Parents & Community Members are cordially invited to attend the FLRSD Strategic Planning Team’s Parent/Community Listening Session on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 PM, in the Paul G. Couto Auditorium at FLMS. This is an opportunity to share your perceptions and suggestions about our District. Your input will help to shape the future! Can’t make it? There will be another session on September 24, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 PM, in the FES Cafeteria. There will also be an opportunity to share your input via a survey - coming soon.
Let us begin our first edition of this year’s weekly “Challenge Champion” with wonderful news. ARHS has once again been ranked the top HS in the South Coast of MA by
US News & World Report! This annual ranking also placed ARHS #57 of 353 high schools in MA (top 16%, up 23 places from last year) and #1122 of 17,945 high schools, nationally (top 6%)! Congratulations to our educators and support staff across FLRSD. Congratulations, as well, to our families who support FLRSD’s success.
Our Grade 1–12 and 18+ students returned to our schools and our buildings quickly came alive with the energy of a new academic, social, civic, and athletic year. Hallways and classrooms filled with excitement and connection, while playgrounds and fields echoed with activity and spirit—setting a strong tone for the year ahead. Meanwhile, our newest students took an important step of their own. K and Pre-K learners participated in orientation, getting acquainted with their teachers and support staff as they prepared for their first official day - next Tuesday.
The year is underway - and “Challenge Accepted!” Our theme is a reminder that every day brings opportunities to move forward, to engage in something new, and to rise to the occasion. In just three days, we have already seen our students embracing those challenges. Students navigating new schools, registering for new activities, welcoming new classmates, and taking initial assessments are just a few examples. These moments are significant. They reveal that our students are ready to take on whatever comes next. “Challenge Accepted” - and they are just getting started.
