Both FLMS basketball teams took down Norton yesterday afternoon. First, the boy's team won out after a close first half. Going into the second half, the team was only up by 3 but scored 24 points solidifying the win. Next, the girls stormed the court to beat Norton. As usual, the team played incredible defense and didn't let Norton score for 3 quarters. Both teams take on Norton again away on Monday.

Both the boys and girls FLMS basketball teams took another pair of wins against Bridgewater yesterday. The boys took care of business as they won 46-39. The boys lead the whole time and had stellar passing through the whole game. The girls won a tough back and forth game. Only being up by four going into the second half, the team gave it their all by scoring 29 points and holding Bridgewater to only 10 points in the second half. Both teams play a tough Raynham team on Wednesday.

Next week is our second spirit week of the year at FLMS! There is quite an exciting line up coming your way including: Monday is Green & Red day, Tuesday is White Out, Wednesday will be Pj Day, Thursday is Holiday Sweater Day, and Friday will be Holiday Hat Day. Both boys' and girls' basketball teams added another win to their records! The boys beat Westport 53 to 15. They played good defense only having 4 fouls all game and held Westport scoreless in the first quarter. Offensively, ten players scored! The girls' team followed up with an incredibly played game! Defensively, the girls played outstanding. As a whole, the team had 28 steals and no fouls throughout the whole game. Both teams are now 4-0 and take on Bridgewater away on Monday.

Both FLMS basketball teams left Raynham on Monday with two more wins improving both records to 3-0! The boys' team had a thrilling overtime win after being down 23-29 gong into the second half. The team scored 18 points in the third quarter to get ahead. The final score was 58-50. The girls' team won 39-28 and had the lead for most of the game. Let's pack the gym today when both teams play Westport!

The Robotics Club did not qualify at Saturday's competition, but they did an outstanding job! The recoded and reconfigured their robot for 5 matches and improved their score each time. Mr. Friedrichs is proud of their professionalism, attitude and camaraderie.

Due to an issue with the water service on campus, we will need to cancel tonight's parent teacher conferences.  The FLMS leadership team will formulate a plan to make up the conferences at a later date and you will be notified accordingly.

The Berkley boys' basketball team was no match for the FLMS boys' team yesterday. They held Berkley to just 1 point in the first half. The final score was 62 to 15. The girls' team ended the night beating Berkley with a score of 33 to 18. It was a full team effort with everyone contributing on the court defensively. Both teams are not 2-0 and play Raynham away on Monday.

We were just notified by the Zeiterion Theater that they must cancel tomorrow's production of the Christmas Carol, due to illness amongst the cast. We are negotiating an alternative date with them at this time and will communicate the results as soon as possible. All 7th grade students will participate in a regularly scheduled school day tomorrow.

The U.S. Men's National Soccer Team has advanced to the round of 16 in the World Cup! The US will take on the Netherlands Saturday morning. In honor of this accomplishment and to send the team some good vibes, tomorrow will be red, white, and blue day! Throw on a soccer jersey or anything red, white, and/or blue tomorrow to support our country!

Both the boys and girls team won their home openers against Dighton yesterday. First the boys battled back after being behind by 1 going into the second half to win the game. The girls team took over and dominated in the second game of the night winning 49-12. The whole team played locked down defense only allowing 12 points total and only 2 of them in the first half. Both teams take on Berkley away on Monday.

Each year, as part of their Civics curriculum, the 8th grade students at FLMS enter the VFW's Patriot's Pen youth essay contest. The contest asks students to connect their own experiences with America's history in a 300-400 word essay. Congratulations to this year's winners! Emma Wisniewski came in first place, Peyton Ashton claimed second place, and Ayden Freelove was third.
