Dear GRAIS Families,
We are so appreciative of any donations of individual bottles of water you may provide to help keep everyone hydrated on our field day on the 14th. Donations may be dropped off in the vestibule any school day between now and the morning of the event.
Fourth Graders:
This past Monday, the fourth graders got a sneak-peek at the fifth grade hallway and classrooms and chatted with the grade five teachers about what may be the same or different in the fall when they become the “big kids” at GRAIS. They asked clever questions and were visibly at ease and filled with excited anticipation of the transition to grade five!
The boys and girls away at Nature’s Classroom had a great time! They will be full of stories of all the learning they did and the fun they had for a long time!
The students here at GRAIS were engaged in many fun STEM activities and art activities this past week! Activities included building with Legos and Dominoes. Students have been working in partners and groups with board games, creating airplanes, or researching countries. While every student has been involved in different activities, they enjoyed getting to know their classmates from other teams better and working cooperatively while learning. They did
beautifully! We thank the PTO for supporting the purchase of supplies!
Fifth Graders:
Some of the fifth grade homerooms have had their field trip to the planetarium this past week, while all others will make the trip this coming week. The fifth graders walked over to the middle school last Friday to meet the FLMS staff and tour the building from 1:00 -2:00p.m. They were very excited!
Survivor Day:
Please remember to have the team tee-shirt from the fall Fun Run ready for your child to wear on this coming Friday, as this is a team challenge. Please contact the PTO at graispto@gmail.com if you need information on volunteering for the event.
