Our first day of spirit week is here! Students and staff are representing their favorite sports teams for our Sports Day! Tomorrow is Decade Day. Sixth grade, you will be swinging into the 60's. Seventh grade, you will be sailing into the 70's. Eighth grade, you'll be grooving into the 80's. Let's see which grade shows the most spirit for their decade!

The Apponequet swim program has been approved by the MIAA for 7th and 8th grade students to participate with the high school swim team. Practice starts on Monday, November 28th. The FLMS soccer team won an absolute nail biter on Friday afternoon against Berkley Middle School with a score or 2 to 1. The team's last home game is tomorrow right here at FLMS. However, all eyes are set on Wednesday's game versus Swansea. The winner of Wednesday's game will be this year's champions! If you can somehow get a ride to Swansea Middle School on Wednesday afternoon, do it! You won't want to miss it!

Next week is our first spirit week of the year! Monday will be sports day, represent your favorite sports team. Tuesday will be decades day. Grade 6 is the 60's, grade 7 is the 70's and grade 8 is the 80's. Wednesday is dress like your favorite staff member day. Thursday is country versus country club, and Friday is team color day. Team 6100 is orange, 6200 is purple, 7100 is red, 7200 is blue, 8100 is black and 8200 is white.

The FLMS soccer team traveled to Raynham yesterday and beat them by a score of 3 to 1. Another great team effort from everyone. The team has a home game today after school versus Berkley Middle School.

Attention all singers, actors, and dancers! The FLMS Drama Club is getting ready for this year's production of Annie Jr. Auditions and callbacks are November 2nd & 3rd from 2:15-4:00 PM in the auditorium. In order to audition you need to join the Google classroom, fill out the audition Google form and come prepares to sing and act. You can find the classroom code on signs around the building or come see Mrs. Blell or Mr. Johnson in the music room.

The FLMS soccer team beat Norton yesterday afternoon by a score of 3 to 0 and remain undefeated. The players were great, but the coaching was just as good. Thank you Mr. Higgins for coaching and leading our kids to another win! The team looks to continue their winning ways as they travel to Bridgewater this afternoon.

Eighth graders, did you know that the word "robot" comes from the Czech word robota, meaning "drudgery"? The word was first used in 1921. Join the FLMS grade 8 robotics club! You will be using EV3 technology to build and code a robot. See Mr. Friedrichs in the computer science room, next to the library for a robotics application.

The FLMS Soccer Team had a tough matchup yesterday afternoon against a very strong Raynham team. The score was 0 to 0 at half, but thanks to some relentless and aggressive play by many of our FLMS players, FLMS was able to secure the win by a score of 2 to 0. The team will play Norton this afternoon right her at home. Good luck, team!
