What’s cooking at FLMS:
Halloween is upon us- This year, we are allowing school appropriate costumes, and have sent an email to families with the guidelines for this. It is a normal school day with lots of learning, so please, make sure that if your child does in fact decide they want to wear a costume, that it follows the rules:
Costumes that allow students to sit comfortably at their desks
Clothing that permits full participation in all classes, including PE
Age-appropriate costumes that align with school dress code
Not Permitted:
Masks of any kind
Face paint
Hoods or head coverings that obscure the face
Weapons (real or toy) or violent accessories
Costumes that restrict movement or vision
Outfits that could be disruptive to the learning environment (Parents, we need your help here! Please review costumes with students.)
Student Council- Please listen in- our first student PODCAST will be shared with students Monday morning in Advisory.
National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards- If your child loves to draw, paint, sculpt, or write in a variety of genres, please have them chat with their ELA or Art Teachers to submit their work to Scholastics! I hear we have some submissions ALREADY!
