Homework Club- Homework Club began Tuesday, October 1st! If you are interested in this program, please email your child’s counselor.
Here at the FLMS, we are in the last week of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. We have introduced several fun things that will enhance our appreciation of the Hispanic Heritage such as "Palabra del Día" (Word of the Day), Hispanic/Latino Role Model Spotlight, and ¿Sabías? (Did you know?) Cultural Key Points. We believe that to have an understanding of a culture through their language, traditions, and customs is muy importante!
Student Council Election Results: AND THE RESULTS ARE IN!!! Last Friday's Student Council Election was fantastic! We had a record 539 students vote for their favorite Executive Board from amongst the best candidates. They all did an amazing job!

ALICE Drill for FLMS: We had our first drill with students on October 3rd at 9:45, and sent a letter home informing of the process.

Activities/Events:
Jr. Honor Society- The National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 9th in the FLMS auditorium. Congratulations to the 86 grade 8 students being inducted this year!

Sports/After School Activities:
The girls soccer team won a tough battle on Tuesday against Raynham with a score of 2-1. The boys team won with a score of 8-1.
On Thursday, after a loss to Bridgewater last week, the girls soccer team fought back with a tie. The boys team won 2-1! Please continue to show your support as they face a tough Seekonk team at home on the 8th.
Cross Country ran in competition with Somerset here at home, and our boys fell short this time, but our girls won the meet.
Message from the PTO: We're excited to kick off our first fundraiser of the school year, Midland Holiday Catalog! All catalogs will be sent home with each student over the next couple of days. Please review the instructions inside! This fundraiser is held online & all orders will be shipped directly to the purchaser!
