FLMS Sunday Message:
Rolling into week 5 of the 2024/25 School Year!
What’s cooking at FLMS:
Homework Club- We will begin our successful Homework Club this Tuesday, October 1st- from 2:15 to 3:15. Students who need this support will meet after school with grade level peers and a FLMS staff member to boost their learning. If you are interested in this program, please email your child’s counselor.
Here at the FLMS, we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in style! We have introduced several fun things that will enhance our appreciation of the Hispanic Heritage such as "Palabra del Día" (Word of the Day), Hispanic/Latino Role Model Spotlight, and ¿Sabías? (Did you know?) Cultural Key Points. We believe that to have an understanding of a culture through their language, traditions, and customs is muy importante!
It's Election Time! The Student Council is an elected and volunteer group of students working together to promote citizenship, leadership, scholarship, human relations, and cultural values. Each year, we hold elections for our Executive Board (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) and this year's campaigning has already begun! Each day, during morning announcements, the students will "Meet the Candidates" running for each specific office. Students will then cast their votes on Friday, October 4th! Election Day! Please encourage your students to participate..... Their Vote, Their Voice!
