hosting its first meeting at 2:15 on Tuesday, March 25 in room 128. Come join in if you
want to play trivia games and learn something useless. Email Mr. Shara with any

Girls tennis tryouts are cancelled for today due to bad weather. Please be on the courts
tomorrow for tryouts from 230- 400.

The equity meeting will be held this Thursday at 10 in the group project room.

Apponecon is this Friday from 5:00-11:00. Play lazer tag, video game tournaments, ping
pong, Just Dance, Dress to Impress, and Papa's Pizzeria with real pizza. Admission is
free and there will be free food. Tournaments are two dollars per tournament.

Alright Lakers, it’s game time! The 3rd Annual Volleyball Tournament is happening this
Thursday after school, and you do NOT want to miss it. For just $5, you can watch your
classmates bump, set, and battle for the championship. See you there!

The Class of 2028 presents TEACHER DARES! Would you like to see Mr Gallant race
Josh Snyder in a 100 meter dash? Would you like to see the Biology teachers compete in
a dance off? If so, be sure to put your change into the Teacher Dare bucket of your choice
at all lunches this week! The teacher whose bucket collects the most money this week will
have to complete their Dare.

Attention all students looking for community service hours: The Freetown-Lakeville
Athletic Association needs your help to get the fields ready for the upcoming baseball
season! They are looking for volunteers on Saturday, March 15th at Little Fenway in
Freetown from 9-3 and Sunday, March 16th at Ted Williams from 10-2. Whether you can
lend a hand for an hour or the whole day, every bit counts! Grab your gloves, rakes, and
community spirit, and let’s make this season the best one yet!

Attention students! Anyone interested in joining the Unified Track team should attend an
informational ten minute meeting being held today at 1:15 in room 128. If you have any
questions, please email Mr. Shara or find him in room 128 during B, D, and E periods.

Next week is Dog Be Nice week! Monday is Teacher/Student swap day and a visit from
the Plymouth K9 Units. Tuesday is Pokemon Go to the Polls Day, with some voting at
lunch! Wednesday is Anything but a Backpack day, make sure to follow the rules on the
flyers around the school or your item will be confiscated and you'll get a plastic bag of
shame. Wednesday is also a fundraiser at the Somerset Chili's, with all proceeds of the
fundraiser going to a Laker family in need. So grab your friends and go to Chili's on the
19th! Tell your waiter or waitress you are there for the fundraiser. Thursday is younger self
day and also have Farm Visits coming once again during lunch, so come hang out with
pigs, rabbits, and more! And finally, Friday is Rivals day, dress up with a friend as a pair of
rivals. And that Friday night is also Apponecon from 5:00-11:00 in the library!
Tournaments are two dollars each, entry is free and food is free!

The Laker online athletic registration has been activated and will close this Friday. First
day of spring sports is Monday March 17th. Any questions see Coach Cabucio.

Calling all Laker film enthusiasts and aspiring filmmakers! The Laker Film Festival, which
will take place on May 8th from 6-7:30 PM, is open for student submissions. All student
films are due by April 28th to Mrs. Sardelli. See the QR codes posted around the school
for the submission guidelines and application form, or speak with Mrs. Sardelli for more
information.

This announcement is for all you volleyball enthusiasts out there. The Class of 2026 is
hosting a volleyball tournament, and we want YOU to join the fun!
The tournament will take place Thursday, March 13th and each team can have up to 8
players. The entry fee is just $5 per person, so gather your team and get ready to serve,
spike, and score your way to victory!
Fill out the form in your Laker Locker or pick up a hard copy in guidance. All sign ups must
be done by Monday 3/10 to make sure you don’t miss out on this exciting event! For those
who just want to cheer on your peers, spectators will be charged $5 at the door (cash
only). We hope to see you there!

Hey Lakers! Fasten your seatbelts and join Mrs. O’Brien by participating in Read Across
America BINGO! From now until April 30th read any book that takes place in a state on
your bingo card. Cover 5 squares in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row and bring your
winning bingo card to the library. Bingo cards, book tracker, and a selection of titles are in
the library. Any questions or for more information, see Mrs. O’Brien in the library or visit
the library website.

Attention Class of 2027! There is a Sophomore Class meeting tomorrow after school in
room 109. The meeting should take about a half hour. Officers are expected to attend, but
all class members are welcome.
