From our GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) group:
Saturday June 1st marked the beginning of Pride Month, a time to celebrate and honor the LGBTQ+ community. Did you know that Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall riots of June 1969, a pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history. Since the Stonewall riots, progress has been made including: legalization of same-sex marriage and increased visibility in media and politics. There have been significant strides towards LGBTQ+
equality. However, there's still work to be done to ensure full acceptance and rights for all.
