As we head into April, we continue to focus on our Core Values of Achievement, Resilience, Honor, and Self-Advocacy. Our grade 10 students were focused and well-prepared for their ELA MCAS and we applaud their efforts. Math MCAS will be held on May 21st and 22nd and our grade 9 students will engage in Biology MCAS on June 4th and 5th. There is far more to Laker Nation than displaying our strong abilities on state testing. Grade 12 honors ELA students are practicing their presentation skills for their Senior Projects, Anatomy and Physiology students got up close and personal with a dissection of a sheep eye (see photos on the last page), and the Model UN class prepares for their first United Nations simulation on the Syrian Civil War, just to name a few. Authentic learning and engagement are everywhere!
We close term 3 today and begin our final term on Monday April 1st. Please be reminded that this is a half day for students.
