The Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Friday, May 19th at The Century House from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Prom tickets will be sold starting:
on Monday, April 10th during F block and after school for Seniors only.
on Tuesday, April 11th after school for Juniors and Seniors.
on Wednesday, April 12th before school only for Juniors and Seniors.
on Thursday, April 13th after school for Juniors and Seniors.
Tickets are $55.00 a piece and the last day that tickets will be sold is Thursday, April 13th.
Outside guest forms are available in the Main Office and are due by April 6th.
The 2023 Physics Olympics was held at Apponequet this past Saturday, April 1st. Fourteen teams from eight schools competed, including two stellar teams from ARHS. Apponequet's Team A came in 4th place out of the 14 competing teams. This team consisted of seniors Damon Defaria, Max Anderson, Mary Tomaszewski, Jerome Lombardi, and Liz Ashley, and juniors Dominick Snyder and Bilong Baptista. Apponequet's B team also performed well and put in a good effort. This team consisted of seniors Abbey Menendez, Nikhil Barnick, Alex El-Ghadi, and Shea Garland, and juniors Nathan Furlong and Camille Lombardi. Congratulations to all for representing Apponequet in such an awesome manner!
Badminton Club is back! Grab a friend and come to the gym on Tuesdays after school until 3:30 pm. We will be hosting a tournament after school on Tuesday, April 11th in the gymnasium. The winner of the tournament will get a Yonex Nanoray Badminton Racquet. When Mr. Solomon wins, it will go to the runner up.
The “Booked at Apponequet” club has chosen the selections for the April book read. Members can opt between the following choices: “Becoming” by Michelle Obama, “In Order to Live” by Yeonmi Park, “I’m Glad My Mom Died” by Jennette McCurdy, and “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank. The club will meet to discuss their selection on Tuesday, April 25th at 2:15 pm. All new members are welcome to join. Annual ARHS Art Show - April 27th 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Come see the many artists of Apponequet, featuring work from Art I, II, III, AP, Healthy Living, and Mixed Media!
The Little Mermaid is debuting on May 5th and will hold two shows on May 6th. Students at Assawompset, Freetown Elementary, and George R. Austin Intermediate school will be treated to a mini performance in April.
The Apponequet Library is happy to announce that it is once again hosting a Local Author Expo on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Authors of fiction and non-fiction, and for children, teens and adults will be on site to showcase and sell their work. All school community members and members of the public are welcome to attend. Attention students 16 and over - Nemasket Healthcare is looking for Kitchen help and Diet Aides. Hours are 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm during the week and some weekend hours. Stop by the office for more information.

Reminder of Driving Instructions for Parents/Guardians
Drop Off - The school opens at 7:00 am and students are supervised in the Lecture Hall until the bell rings at 7:30 am.
Please note that both entrances are open for drop off this year. Vehicles must exit by the same side as they entered and are cautioned to drive carefully as our student drivers enter the building from the parking lot. Please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew with any questions.
Pick Up - We continue to ask parents and guardians to park when arriving for pick up to ensure that cars do not block the bus lanes and Howland Road. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew.
