It has been a busy last week of March at Laker Nation. We are proud of our MCAS test takers who were resilient through multiple essays and readings and we know they will demonstrate Achievement. Term 3 also closes this week and grades will be posted in the Aspen portal on April 10th. Grade-level meetings will be held to reiterate expectations for Achievement, Resilience, Honor, and Self-Advocacy so that we enter Term 4 at our best. Seniors will also meet on April 10, 2023 to receive the schedule for end of year activities, to purchase prom tickets, and to enjoy some Senior time and doughnuts!
The Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Friday, May 19th at The Century House from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
Prom tickets will be sold starting:
on Monday, April 10th during F block and after school for Seniors only.
on Tuesday, April 11th after school for Juniors and Seniors.
on Wednesday, April 12th before school only for Juniors and Seniors.
on Thursday, April 13th after school for Juniors and Seniors.
Tickets are $55.00 a piece and the last day that tickets will be sold is Thursday, April 13th.
Apponequet High School will be hosting the 2023 Massachusetts Physics Olympics competition on Saturday, April 1st at the high school. We have two teams ready to compete against teams from seven other schools. The various physics-based events include a Circuit Mystery Challenge, a Bottle Rocket Build Ahead event, a Rubber band Car event, and a Paper Tower Engineering Challenge, among others. The day will culminate with an all-teams physics bowl quiz game and awards will be given to the top-scoring team in each event and then to the overall winner for the day. Good luck to our Lakers and thank you to Mrs. Mills!
