Welcome back! It has been such a successful and productive week here at AES! We are very excited about the year ahead and we are looking forward to working with you and your children!
This is a VERY short update this week. Please expect a Friday Newsletter from myself at 2:00 p.m. - EVERY Friday. This will include messages from all staff and specialists! I will also text important reminders to you as well! Superintendent Strauss will send out a Sunday Message that will include the Friday AES Newsletter as well.

A note from our Adjustment Counselor - Mrs. Jamie McKenna:
AES is currently offering assistance to our families through our Backpack Program and Gifts to Give Program. The Backpack Program provides families non-perishable food items (pasta, snacks, tuna, etc.) each Friday throughout the school year to assist those with the high cost of groceries. Additionally, Gifts to Give offers holiday assistance (gifts for all children in the family) for families who would benefit from that extra support. Please email me at jmckenna@freelake.org if you are interested in these programs. Please note that Gifts to Give is requesting that all gift information be sent to them by the middle of October. I look forward to working with our AES families!

September 17th - First PTO Meeting - 7:00 p.m.
September 24th - OPEN HOUSE - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
SMALL REQUEST:
Write your child’s name on their water bottle please. The kids take them out to recess and with over 100 kiddos - it is VERY difficult to then get the bottles back to their rightful owner.
