The message above is at the heart of what the human spirit is all about and it is a habit of mind that we are trying to instill in our students and model with all the adults within our school community. We must help, support and do what is necessary or we are destined to become a siloed society that cannot survive on its own. Many, many years ago Reverend Martin Neimholler gave us the famous ‘First they came for…” poem that discusses what ignoring others and their needs, would eventually become. Should you choose to read it, the touching story of a young marine who took this message to heart, is something we all can learn from.
That’s not your job, or is it?
Everyday, in ways so many of us will never know, our Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Secretaries, Nurses, OT and PT, SRO’s Team Chairs, Principals, Assistant Principals, Counselors, Nurses, Schedulers, School Psychologists, BCBA’s, Coaches, Advisors, Mentors, Library and IT Staff, Food Service, Maintenance and Custodial Staff, as well as Central Office Administration and Staff, School Committee, Town Officials, First Responders and all of our Community Partners go above and beyond and for that we are grateful.
Have a great weekend,
Be Well…
Alan
