According to the National Scholastic Chess Foundation, learning chess has been shown to help improve visualization and problem solving skills in young people as well as encourage concentration, self-discipline, and risk-taking. These are all happy side-effects of our ultimate goal at FLMS Chess Club - to socialize and play chess with classmates of all skill levels. This club is open to all FLMS students, no sign-up required, just show up at one of our meetings if you are interested! Please have a ride for 3:15 PM.
